e the Change. I’ve always been a big believer in shaping — or trying to — my own destiny. But when it came to my weight, I just didn’t know how to begin to take control. During my journey on Season 8 of NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser,” I began to realize the meaning of these words made famous by the immortal Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change we wish to see in the world.” And the world begins with you — your world. Only when you achieve positivity in your own life can you help others. I learned the power of “I can” and positivity on the BL ranch.

For years I just wanted to be “normal.” The emotional and psychological insight I gained at the ranch were like a lightning strike. Yep … that significant. In the context I was envisioning, normal was not a useful word. Nevertheless it is one most overweight and obese people, and others facing various challenges, murmur to themselves every day: “I just want to be normal like other people.” I’ve come to learn that comparing oneself to others to achieve normal is just not possible, nor is it healthy, because everyone already is normal. I am my own normal. The differences need to be embraced. But — and it’s a big but — if you strive to positively affect yourself or your world in some way, then you must Be the Change.

I’ve been blessed in learning this lesson at a young age. From this point forward, my life is dedicated to helping others struggling with weight loss, with life, through spreading my “Be the Change” message and living this philosophy myself … every day. Because the journey has just begun.

Motivational Speaker

Now that I’ve found my way, I’m passionate about helping others. If you saw me at all on “The Biggest Loser” you know I’m what some would describe as an energetic force of nature. My biggest joy is connecting with others and keeping it real, inspiring people of all ages (have I mentioned I love children; after all I was a nanny) to help make their personal journey a positive experience … every day. I’ve been known to cry and to laugh, because it is you who inspire me.

While I love to tell people about my experiences on “The Biggest Loser” ranch, that’s just the beginning. My motivational speaking relates to health and fitness audiences striving for the next level or starting their journey; sales teams who are looking for the catalyst that will help them achieve new goals; corporations looking to begin their wellness program with a bang or get their program back on track with a spark. And whether you’re trying to motivate, encourage, or heal, I guarantee you will leave feeling energized and enthused.
